Tiffany and I met in college in 2015 and it's been an adventure ever since. We officially started MTR Angling in 2022. I grew up on the eastside of Oregon and some of my favorite memories from when I was a kid were the times me and my family spent on the coast. So after spending about seven winters in Montana, we decided we were sick of snow. I had a pretty good idea of where I wanted to head to, thankfully Tiff wasn't hard to convince. We love the weather, the beach, and of course the fish.
I started guiding in Northwest Montana before making my way up to Alaska to work for Royal Wolf Lodge just outside of Katmai National Park. I also guide for Speywater Lodge in Troy, Oregon during the fall before we make our way to the coast.
Tiffany has a master's degree in accounting from Montana State University and is a state licensed CPA and is obviously the one who keeps the ship afloat. She works remotely as an auditor for a Montana based accounting firm and these days she gets to see brown bears from our porch during our summers in Alaska. But I think she would tell you her favorite time of the year is our time we spend on the Grande Ronde River in Troy, Oregon.
